Curriculum

Warracknabeal Special Developmental School provides a secure and nurturing environment where students can learn to their fullest potential. We tailor the Victorian Curriculum F-10 to create meaningful, pertinent, and stimulating educational experiences. The Victorian Curriculum F-10 outlines the essential knowledge and skills every student should acquire in their initial eleven years of education. This curriculum is designed to equip students with the necessary tools for lifelong learning, social development, and active, informed citizenship.

Our educational approach is customised to address the distinct needs of students in every class, as educators carefully take into account the students' needs, interests, and capabilities when planning learning experiences.

Every student is provided with an Individual Education Plan (IEP), created collaboratively with parents/caregivers and the school. The IEP establishes priority goals for each student, which are then strategically planned, executed, and evaluated over the course of the year. Additionally, Program Support Group (PSG) meetings take place each semester.
